Our Approach to Privacy

Peatr is an innovative productivity application that transforms traditional time management into a captivating global adventure. We believe you should be able to focus and explore without worrying about your data. This policy explains what information Peatr may collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We do not require you to create an account or sign in, so we aim to keep data collection minimal and transparent.

By using Peatr, you are agreeing to the practices described here. We encourage you to read this policy so you know how your information is handled.

Information We May Collect

Because Peatr works without an account, we do not ask for your name, email, or password to use the app. We may collect or process the following types of information:

• Device Device type, operating system version, and app version — to ensure compatibility and improve performance.
• Usage How you use the app (e.g., focus session length, features used, cities unlocked) — to understand how people use Peatr and to improve the experience.
• Local data Your progress, virtual currency, unlocked cities, and preferences may be stored on your device. This data stays on your device unless you use features that sync or back up data, in which case we will describe that separately.
• Analytics Aggregated, non-personal statistics (e.g., average session length, popular features) — to improve the app and fix issues.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising targeting based on your identity. Any analytics we use are aimed at making Peatr better for everyone.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Run and maintain the app (focus timer, Chronos Engine, Geo Navigator, wallpapers, landmarks).
• Improve performance, fix bugs, and add or refine features.
• Understand usage patterns in an aggregated way so we can prioritize what matters to users.
• Respond to your questions or feedback if you contact us (e.g., at the email below).

We do not use your data to build a profile about you for advertising or to share with third parties for their marketing. Our goal is to support your productivity and exploration within Peatr.

Data Storage and Security

Progress and preferences that stay on your device are stored in the app's local storage. You can delete this data by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in your device settings. If we store any data on our servers (e.g., for optional backup or sync), we use reasonable measures to protect it and will describe those features in the app or in updates to this policy.

We do not retain your data longer than necessary for the purposes described here. Aggregated analytics may be kept in a form that does not identify you.

Chronos Engine and Geo Navigator

Peatr includes the Chronos Engine and Geo Navigator — a suite of time and geographic utilities. These features may use your device's time zone, location (if you grant permission), or general geographic data to show relevant information. We use this only to provide the feature (e.g., local time, nearby landmarks). We do not use location data to track you over time or to build a history of where you have been. You can revoke location permission in your device settings at any time.

Children and Sensitive Data

Peatr is designed for general productivity and exploration. We do not knowingly collect information from children in a way that would require special treatment. We do not ask for or store sensitive categories of data (e.g., health, finance) beyond what is needed to run the focus timer and app features. If you believe we have inadvertently received such data, please contact us and we will work to remove it.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or our practices. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the "Last updated" reference and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by other reasonable means.
